Volunteers who change lives

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your -

TODAY

we feature two extraordinary examples of fundraising generosity.

Thomas Cook Children’s Charity handed over more than £113,000 to Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to buy equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Peterborough Shopmobility was given a cheque for £2,200 to buy two new scooters and a pair of new wheelchairs by Peterborough Lions.

Across the city, countless groups and organisations carry out such fundraising work.

They all deserve great credit – volunteers putting in time and effort to help others. The Staff at Thomas Cook and the members of Peterborough Lions can be very prod of the way they have changed lives.
