Car hit by object from moving car

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - News -

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an object was thrown from a moving car at another vehicle travelling nearby.

No one was hurt in the incident but the windscreen of the second vehicle was damaged.

The attack took place at about 11.15am on Friday on the A15 at Gunthorpe.

The vehicles involved were between 200 and 300 yards from the roundabout leading to Werrington at the time.

Police say the victim had been driving a Ford Focus which was overtaken by a blue Vauxhall Corsa hatchback containing four men.

One of the group, a passenger, threw what police have described as a “heavy object”, from the car.

It then hit the windscreen of the Focus, causing damage.

A spokesman for the force said no one was injured in the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the act is asked to contact Cambridgeshire police’s Investigation Management Unit at Copse Court, Peterborough on 101.

Alternatively contact the Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 or via the website www. crimestoppers-uk.org.
