Tweedie and Rutterford are so dominant
DAMIAN Rutterford and Nathantweedie recorded convincing wins at the PACTrac/peterborough Schools Triathlon at Stanground College.
They both led all the way and recorded the fastest split in each if the three disciplines. Rutterford won by more than seven minutes in the 13-14 year-old’s race while Tweedie was six minutes clear in the 15-16 year-old’s event where Katie Green finished second.
James Cooper won the closest event, the 9-10 year-old’s race. Anna Blakeley led coming out of the pool with Cooper four seconds behind and Eve Wright on his tail.
Cooper then recorded the fastest bike split to lead and despite Matthew Arden reducing the deficit on the run he was still 36 seconds adrift at the finish.
Matthew Wouldham recorded the fastest swim and run times to win the 11-12 year-old’s race, where Jonathan Oakey was quickest on the bike, while Sam Hughes dominated the eight yearold’s race.
