Wisbech v Ufford Park, Harecroft Road (6.15pm)

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Etbusiness Daily -

THE losing finalists from 2011 against a new entrant, but Wisbech will not want to take Ufford Park lightly tonight.

The villagers play plenty oftwenty/20 cricket and they warmed up for tonight’s clash with an easy win against Burghley Park in the Stamford KO Cup on Monday.

But Wisbech should have the class to win comfortably on their own patch, especially if local legends Gary Freear and James Williams hit top form. Key clash: James Williams v Andy Larkin. This tie could be settled early in Ufford’s innings when Cambs Minor Counties’ vice-captain bowls at a big-hitting opening batsman.

Williams is a little bundle of energy with a vast amount of natural ability and pace, but lanky Larkin hits a big ball so there could be early fireworks.

Verdict: Wisbech to win at a canter.

DESTRUCTIVE: Pete Morgan

CLASSY: Lewis Bruce.
