The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Etbusiness Daily -

SPEEDWAY: Panthers co-boss Jan Staechmann has challenged his riders to make a statement in front of the nation at Poole tonight.

Staechmann wants to see a fine performance from his troops in front of the SKYTV cameras from 7.30pm as they bid to end the Pirates’ winning record in 2012.

Poole have won all nine previous competitive meetings this season and have dropped just one point, but Staechmann believes his team will be on a high after sinking Birmingham at the Showground on Monday.

Staechmann said: “Poole’s home record is second to none but given what we did against Birmingham on Monday anything is achievable for us.”

Panthers will make a late decision on whether to include Olly Allen after he suffered rib injury on Monday.
