The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Uk&world Update -

A GAMBLING website may change its advertising strategy after a survey showed the average online gambler from Peterborough loses £209.34 per year.

A study conducted by Castlecasino.com stated that Peterborough’s average losses are the 17th biggest for 50 cities covered in the survey.

The heaviest losses were in Liverpool (£482.42) and Middlesbrough (£479.29), while the people losing the least were from Ipswich (£147.93).

A spokesman for Roulette. co.uk said: “This data could redefine our geographic advertising strategy.

“This is very interesting research, especially as we promote Castlecasino.com on our website.”

Marc Etches, chief executive of the Responsible Gambling Trust, said: “The amount spent on gambling online is less than people probably think - it works out to less than £1 per day.

“I spend more than that on a cup of coffee. People with gambling addictions make up less than one per cent of the market.”
