Cadets fly high on ex­ams suc­cess

SEVEN tal­ented cadets from a Peter­bor­ough group have just com­pleted a se­ries of ex­ams with fly­ing colours.

The young mem­bers of the Air Train­ing Corps 115 (Peter­bor­ough) Squadron were pre­sented with cer­tifi­cates for suc­cess in their first aid and skills ex­ams.

The young­sters have been study­ing for their Mas­ter and Se­nior cadet badges for more than six months.

Flight Lieu­tenant Stephen Dal­ton, com­mand­ing of­fi­cer, pre­sented the cer­tifi­cates and con­grat­u­lated the cadets on their hard work and ded­i­ca­tion to the squadron.

He said: “Along­side the fun ac­tiv­i­ties that the Air Cadets of­fers to our mem­bers, such as fly­ing and glid­ing, there is an aca­demic el­e­ment to our or­gan­i­sa­tion.

“These ex­ams can be used to­wards the cadets ob­tain­ing a BTEC award, some­times be­fore they have even sat their GCSE ex­am­i­na­tions.”
