Peterborough Community Gospel Choir, St Mary’s, New Road Tomorrow GOSPEL and West End musical classics will be performed at a celebratory 10th anniversary concert for the Peterborough Community Gospel Choir.

St Mary’s Church, in New Road, Peterborough, is hosting the concert at 7pm tomorrow.

The Peterborough Community Gospel Choir was founded 10 years ago by its director, Errol Ballantyne, a singer who has been performing for more than 20 years.

When Errol began the choir in 2002, it had just four people, and has now grown to 43. The choir now has its base at St Mary’s and practise on Thursday evenings.

The choir is mainly made up of Peterborough people who have a passion for singing and get a real buzz from each performance.

Over the years, the choir has sung at weddings, concerts, birthdays, funerals and various events, both regionally and nationally.

The choir has also appeared on BBC’S Songs of Praise.

Proceeds from tomorrow’s concert will be shared between Shine and the Papworth Trust charities.

Both charities are grateful
