AN evening of indulgence helped to raise more than £650 for a vital school project.

Nene Park Academy’s first Pamper and Indulgence Evening was a resounding success, raising the amount for the school’s Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Programme.

The school hall was buzzing with more than 30 stalls offering a huge range of mini-treatments as well as giving the opportunity for some serious retail therapy in between treatments.

Over 90 people attended the event, with many staff and students turning out. They brought their family and friends along to support the event, which was the first of its kind to be held by the school.

The school’s Duke of Edinburgh co-ordinator Abbie Mann said “We were thrilled by the success of the evening. There was so much support from both within the school and from the local community as well.”

Duke of Edinburgh leader Sara Foster added: “The Duke of Edinburgh Gold Team were fantastic throughout and, even though they had never been involved in planning and organising such an event before, they simply threw themselves headlong into everything and were such a support.”
