Bels win a ding-dong bat­tle with Deep­ing

STAM­FORD Bels are the first Peter­bor­ough League Vet­er­ans’ cham­pi­ons.

The golden Bels oldies saw off Deep­ing Rangers Vets 4-3 on penal­ties in the final of the in­au­gu­ral sea­son.

The two teams had been dead­locked at 1-1 af­ter ex­tra-time.

BOURNETOWN player Ja­son Kil­bride is in the Eng­land squad for two fut­sal in­ter­na­tion­als this week­end.

Kil­bride is part of the na­tional party for friendly clashes against Den­mark tonight and to­mor­row af­ter­noon at the Sport­house venue in Bark­ing.

Kil­bride, who plays his club fut­sal for Lough­bor­ough, is joined in the squad by March man Sam Mur­phy.
