BOURNE have an­nounced a link-up with Stam­ford that will give them first call on a num­ber of Daniels youth play­ers.

Wakes sec­re­tary Bob Lam­bert be­lieves the deal will ben­e­fit both clubs.

Bourne will be able to strengthen their squad while their own play­ers can stake their claim to progress in the game.

Lam­bert said: “This is great news for us and will im­prove Dar­ren Mun­ton’s squad for next sea­son.

“It will also give our lads a chance to show Gra­ham Drury, the Stam­ford man­ager, that they can push for a place in a higher level of foot­ball.”
