Evening on maternity services
PARENTS-TO-BE and new parents are invited to learn more about the maternity services which are on offer in the city.
Peterborough Maternity Services Liaison Committee’s (MSLC) presentation evening will take place at the lecture theatre at Peterborough City Hospital, in Bretton Gate, at 6.30pm on May 30.
The committee is a group which advises NHS Peterborough and Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on the care they provide to pregnant women and their partners as well as the parents of new babies.
Peterborough MSLC chairman Louise Hale said: “The evening gives parents a chance to chat with midwives and health professionals, complementary therapists and other parents as well as to learn about our work, the choices currently available to them and the chance to feedback what they would like to see made available in the future.”
There will also be the opportunity for some parents-to-be to be given a tour of the midwifery-led birthing unit at the hospital from 6pm that evening.
Places for this tour are limited and need to be pre-booked with Peterborough MSLC.
