Slap on wrist for city’s JPS

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your -

IT is no wonder that the driving in Peterborough is so appalling when a habitual drunk-driver gets a slap on the wrist. What world do our JPS live in? Mr Mallett was very drunk and it took three people to restrain him.

He has been caught drink-driving five times, so goodness knows how frequently he drinks and drives.

He is a menace to the rest of the people on the road. Yet he does not get jailed. He merely gets his licence revoked for four years and told to do Community Service.

If I was his employer, I would be checking that he is sober when he arrives for work. You do not want a drunk loose in a warehouse any more than you do loose on the roads.
