Education key

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your -

AS a seasoned cyclist, I agree with Vikeonabike, particularly on the education point front, for those on two and four wheels. Cyclists certainly need to be properly equipped in terms of road craft to keep themselves safe. As it stands, I see people endangering themselves and each other on a daily basis (notice how I said people, not cyclists and motorists :-) Be safe everyone, whatever your chosen mode of transport. Further to that point about education, I think that most of my near-misses are caused by lack of concentration and awareness, and only a few are from conscious decisions to make a risky manoeuvre. Improving concentration by all road users would probably make a big difference.
