Take ad­van­tage of a free swim at the Peter­bor­ough Lido to­day. The out­door pool opens for the sum­mer months at 10.30am It’s mu­sic, mu­sic, mu­sic at Peter­bor­ough’s Em­bank­ment this week­end. More than 100 bands are play­ing at The Wil­low Fes­ti­val. It’s open from 11am to 11pm

to­day and to­mor­row. En­try is free. Peter­bor­ough Com­mu­nity Gospel Choir has a con­cert to cel­e­brate its 10th an­niver­sary this evening. It’s at St Mary’s Church in New Road, Peter­bor­ough, from 7.30pm. Tick­ets cost £8 on the door.

If the sum­mer heat gets too much then set­tle down in front of Chan­nel 4 tonight. Peter Jack­son’s clas­sic film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Tow­ers is on at 6.30pm.
