Revered Stam­ford- based au­thor John Chap­lin is coming to a book­shelf near you with two speed­way ti­tles.

‘ Ivan Mauger - The Man Be­hind the Myth’ ( pub­lished by His­tory Press, £ 14.99) is the most de­tailed look at the great Kiwi racer who roared to 15 world ti­tles in speed­way and long- track dur­ing a glo­ri­ous rac­ing ca­reer.

Chap­lin has delved to ex­plore the ‘ real’ Mauger.
