‘ This is where I be­long’ says new boy

New Pan­thers sign­ing Ryan Fisher be­lieves he be­longs in the Elite League.

TheAmer­i­cana­ceis­re­turn­ing to the top- flight on a full­time ba­sis af­ter mak­ing a loan switch to the city club.

Fisher spent last year in the Pre­mier League with Ply­mouth af­ter last rid­ing in the Elite League in 2010 with par­ent club Coven­try.

Fisher said: “The Elite League is def­i­nitely the place where I want to be.

“I didn’t man­age­to­ge­taride in the top league last year but I’mde­light­ed­to­have­been­given thechance­torace­forPeter­bor­ough next sea­son.

“I see the move as a fresh start for me and I’m only look­ing to go for­ward from here.

“Put it this way, it will have been a ter­ri­ble year if I haven’t man­aged to in­crease my av­er­age by the end of the sea­son.”

Fisher ap­pears to have ar­rived on­abar­gain fig­ure of 5.27 - 60 per cent of the av­er­age he achieved in the sec­ond tier of the sport last year. Heav­er­aged a shade over six points when last at this level two years ago.

He i mpressed Pan­thers bosses with a fineguest­dis­play for them last sea­son when he was in­volved in three suc­ces­sive 5- 1s dur­ing a vic­tory over cham­pi­ons Swin­don be­fore crash­ing out.

And Fisher has promised the Pan­thers faith­ful they will never get less than 100 per cent com­mit­ment from him.

Fisher added: “I makenose­cret of the fact that I am a hard rider. I al­ways race my ri­vals hard ev­ery time I go out on the track and I ex­pect them to do the same to me.”

Even though he didn’t ride in the Elite League reg­u­larly last year, Fisher did ap­pear in the Elite League Rid­ers’ Cham­pi­onships in­di­vid­ual event.

He was a late in­clu­sion af­ter a num­ber of drop- outs which in­cluded Pan­thers rider Krzysztof Buczkowski.
