Hampton’s top slimmers will be using their experience to help others in the new year.

Aftersheddingthepounds since joining the Hampton Slimming World group last year, KimMcCarthyandAdam Davis will be running their own groups in 2013.

Kim, who lost four and a half stones, will runthe group at theMilleniumCentre, Dickens Street, Eastfield, while Adam, who lost eight stones, will run a group in Holme.

Scott Smith, who runs the Hamptongroup, picturedcentre, which has just won a gold award from Slimming World, said: “This job is so very special, Watching someone’s life change from having no confidence, being embarrassed about their size and wearing shapeless clothes to someone who looks and feels great, brings its ownrewards. Butto have your work recognised in this way, is I must admit, is a very proud moment for me.”

Slimming World sessions in Hamptontakeplace onSaturday at the Hampton Vale CommunityCentre, Westlake Avenue, from 9.30am, and on Tuesday from 7.30pm.
