FOOT­BALL: Whit­tle­sey- based side New Town Re­serves scored their first goals of the sea­son and reg­is­tered their first win in Mid- Anglia Di­vi­sion Four­when beat­ing Soft­ware Re­serves 4- 1. Jon Setchell net­ted twice. ICE HOCKEY: Shane MacEachern scored a hat- trick but still fin­ished on the los­ing side as Pi­rates went down 7- 5 at home to Cardiff. HOCKEY: Bret­ton Beavers beat Greene King from Maid­stone 2- 1 to reach the fourth round of the Na­tional Mixed KO Cup. Mike Yeo­man and Shayne An­drews scored their goals. MAR­TIAN ARTS: City TaeK­won Do stars Kelly Turner ( 12) and Jo- Ann Nash ( 20), both mem­bers of the Tony Slaney Club, were se­lected for the GB squad to fight in an in­ter­na­tional tour­na­ment in Stuttgart, Ger­many. POSH: New­cas­tle mid­fielder David Roche joined Posh on a month’s loan. ATH­LET­ICS: Peter­bor­ough Ath­letic Club’s Teresa Dyer smashed the course record when win­ning the Cleethor­pes 10k in 32mins 43secs. ICE HOCKEY: Tony Daw­son scored three times as the Peter­bor­ough Ti­tans( Un­der21s) beat Chelms­ford Rene­gades 8- 0.
