Gallant man chases after purse thief

A woman had her purse snatched as she walked along a Peterborough road.

The woman was walking along New Road, Woodston on Monday, July 18 at about 10.50am when she was approachedbyamanwhotook the purse and ran across London Road.

Another man who witnessedtheincidentranafter the offender, retrieved the purse and returned it to the woman who then continued on her way.

Theoffenderisdescribed as white and of slim to medium build. He was in his mid 30s, approximately 5’8” and had light stubble.
