Pub smashed by man with sledgehammer
A man with a sledg hammer smashed up a pub on the outskirts of Peterborough.
The Blue Boar i n High Street, Eye, was badly damaged by the man early on Saturday morning with the windowsanddoorssmashed. Two cars were also targeted.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at about 5.50am on Saturday morning with reports of criminal damage in the High Street in Eye.
“It was reported that a man had a sledg hammer and smashed windows and doors of the Blue Boarpub, as well as the rear windows of two cars, a blue Mini Cooper and a grey Vauxhall Astra, which were parked in the street.
“The offender is described as about 5’ 9”, slim build, possiblylate30sandwearingdark clothing with a hood up.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
