El­derly man knocked un­con­scious in bru­tal at­tack

An el­derly man was knocked un­con­scious in a bru­tal at­tack in Stam­ford.

The at­tack hap­pened at ap­prox­i­mately 4pm on Sus­sex Road on Wed­nes­day July 20.

A spokesman for Lin­colnshire po­lice said it was thought the at­tack was un­pro­voked.

The spokesman said: “We be­lieve this was an un­pro­voked at­tack­ona70-year-old man who was walk­ing home.

“The at­tack left the man un­con­scious and he was taken to Peter­bor­ough hos­pi­tal for an in­jury to his face.”

The at­tacker was de­scribed as a white male, of a skinny build and in his mid 20’s. He was wear­ing a black t-shirt.
