Produce World raises £7,000 for hospice
A local company has raised more than £7,000 for Sue Ryder’s Thorpe Hall Hospice in Long thorpe, after a successful year of fundraising.
Thorpe Hall was selected as Produce World’ s charity of the year for 2015/16 and has benefitted not only from the donations from Produce World, but also from time donated by members of staff and their families to help to convert a piece of derelict land back into a Kitchen Garden.
Donations came from fundraising events including cake sales and cycle rides.
Nilesh Patel from Thorpe Hall said: “We are very grateful for the support Produce World has given us which has enabled us to not only develop our Kitchen Garden, but also provide hundreds of hours of care for our patients.”
Produce World received a commemorative picture for its contribution to Thorpe Hall
