Business is buoyant at a luxury boat builder just six months after the creation of the company. Fairline Yachts, of Oundle, has just unveiled an impressive line up of boats to showcase the company at the Cannes Yachting Festival next month.

And the company has also announced the appointment of a new dealer covering the Benelux and West Germany area.

The new development comes just six months after the creation of the business from the 52-year-old Fairline Boats, whichwentintoadministration late last yearwiththe loss of 380 jobs.

The name and the assets were bought by two Russian investors who set the business up as Fairline Yachts, and which now employs 100 people.

Russell Currie, managing director, said: “Fairline Yachts is celebrating the start of the boat show season in style, showcasing an impressive line-up of Squadron and Targa models at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, including the world debut of the new Squadron 65 hardtop.

“Cannes remains very importantintheannualcalendar for Fairline. We are looking forwardtoshowcasingaselection of ourmostpopularboats andmeetingbothnewandold customers alike.”

In aseparatedevelopment, Fairline Yachts has named Jonkers Yachts as its dealer for the Benelux andWestGermany area.

Mr Currie said: “This is a clear demonstration of our continued focus on strengthening our global dealer network. It’s the perfect partner to deliver the world-class experience a Fairline customer expects.”
