New man­ager Grant McCann in­sist­sPosh ar­eready to bring foot­ball pride back to Peter­bor­ough. Posh kick off their League One cam­paign at Rochdale on Satur­day hop­ing to make up for the dis­ap­point­ment of the last two cam­paigns.

McCann is not a man to make pre­dic­tions, but he is happy to make cer­tain prom­ises.

“We will en­ter­tain and we will ex­cite,” he says in the 20- page Peter­bor­ough Tele­graph Posh sup­ple­ment to­day.

“It’s the only way I know how to play foot­ball. I will make pos­i­tive teams elec­tions and pos­i­tive changes dur­ing games.

“The last two sea­sons have not gone how we ex­pected, but we have as­sem­bled a squad with a lot of qual­ity and they will be given the free­dom to ex­press them­selves.”

Posh chair­man Dar­ragh MacAn­thony has again writ­ten exclusively for the Peter­bor­ough Tele­graph.

He takes time to ex­plain his pol­icy re­gard­ing trans­fers and the fi­nan­cial is­sues with run­ning a League One club on small gates.

Mac An­thony said :“Top tal­ent will al­ways come and goat Posh for the high­est amount at­tain­able which is a pos­i­tive in im­prov­ing our club.”
