Group to support women at work
A new group is being set up in Peterborough to focus on the development of women in the workplace. The Peterborough Women’s Development Community will be launched on September 22 at the Allia Centre at the Abax Football Stadium, in London Road, at 4pm. Anna Lee, one of the founding members, said: “A great deal of inspiration can be gained by sharing challenges, along with success stories and exploring development topics together. “Here in Peterborough we want to encourage local women who aspire to become managers, leaders or entrepreneurs to become part of a strong and exciting community focused on women’s development in the workplace. “We are creating an energising and inspiring community of professional women in Peterborough. “We increasingly hear about the positive benefits of having a diverse workforce. In particular, companies with the highest representation of women on their senior management teams have a 35 per cent higher return on equity and 34 per cent higher return to shareholders.” To book a place email firstname.lastname@example.org All are welcome.
