RE Cambridgeshire Ukip leadership candidate defends call for ban on Muslim veils in

public places - I don’t think this is racist at all, if we visit an Arab country we have to follow their dress laws but here we accept the anonymity of someone covering their face. Please do not take this as a racist comment but I agree with her we should all be able to see each other’s faces Matthew Driscoll As a Muslim I don’t agree with women wearing veil in this country or any other country, but by banning veil those women will be forced to stay at home by their husband so it means punishment from law and other from men where is women right in this case Nour Deen Elm I find wanting to wear a full face veil difficult to understand because I wasn’t raised with it as part of my culture. I do not agree with anybody being forced to wear any type of clothing and tbh I think viewing all Muslim women who wear it as oppressed seems quite patronising, but what IS a part of my culture is the freedom of choice.
