McCann not interested in revenge

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Sport -

Posh manager Grant McCann insists last season’s dismal display at home to Bradford City is irrelevant as far as Saturday’s League One re-match is concerned.

The Bantams bashed Posh 4-0in this fixture last season, a result that started their march to the League One play-offs.

But McCann (above) won’t be seeking revenge for that result on Saturday as he won’t even mention it to his players before the game.

“Last season’s result means nothing on Saturday,” McCann stated. “Bradford have a different manager and different players and so do we.

“We didn’ t play well that day. Bradford were excellent, but it won’t get a mention in my team-talk.

“I won’t use it as motivation as it just isn’t relevant.

“Our motivation will be putting on a good performance for our fans and to win for them.”

Posh also host Millwall in League One next Tuesday (August 16).
