Member of the public finds body in wAter
The body of a pensioner was discovered by a member of the public in Orton Mere. The body was discovered on Thursday last week.
The man has been identified as 71-year-old Raymond Knott.
No known address has yet been given for him.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “We were called to Orton Mere at about 11.30am following reports of a body being discovered.”
Officerswereseenrecovering the body from the water.
Thepolicespokesmansaid the death was not being treated as suspicious.
The case was handed over to the coroner and an inquest opened yesterday at 11am at LawrenceCourt, Huntingdon.
Assistant coronerforCambridgeshire and Peterborough, BelindaCheney, opened the inquest then adjourned it until January 19, 2017.
