A 93-year-old is now with­out his mo­bil­ity scooter af­ter a break in last week­end in Wer­ring­ton. The of­fend­ers gained en­trance to the garage at Martin Court be­tween 10pm on Fri­day Au­gust 12 and1:30pmSatur­day Au­gust 13 and stole two scoot­ers. One of the scoot­ers be­longed to Wil­liam Oak (93) of Martin Court who said: “I use it to go out to Tesco which is my lo­cal shop in the Wer­ring­ton cen­tre. “It’s cer­tainly very in­con­ve­nient know­ing I can’t go out to Tesco or the Post Of­fice.” Po­lice were­called to the scene at 1:50pmonSatur­dayAu­gust 13 to re­ports of the bur­glary and­crime­of­fi­cer­sat­tend­edto as­sist with the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
