Fun day helps to raise funds for hospice
At its family fun day on August 14, local business Colop last edged close to reaching its £10,000 fundraising target for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.
Members of the charity joined over 350 staff and family members from Coloplast’s UK-headquarters in Peterborough to enjoy a range of games, entertainment acts, barbeques, raffles and cake sales, with proceeds going to the hospice.
The medical devices manufacturer has so far raised more than £ 8,000 since it announced its partnership with Sue Ryder in March after losing two long serving members of staff to cancer.
The company committed to raising £10,000 in 2016 through various activities, with employees taking part in a number of activities.
