Fun day helps to raise funds for hospice

At its fam­ily fun day on Au­gust 14, lo­cal busi­ness Colop last edged close to reach­ing its £10,000 fundrais­ing tar­get for the Sue Ry­der Thorpe Hall Hospice.

Mem­bers of the char­ity joined over 350 staff and fam­ily mem­bers from Colo­plast’s UK-head­quar­ters in Peter­bor­ough to en­joy a range of games, en­ter­tain­ment acts, bar­be­ques, raf­fles and cake sales, with pro­ceeds go­ing to the hospice.

The med­i­cal de­vices man­u­fac­turer has so far raised more than £ 8,000 since it an­nounced its part­ner­ship with Sue Ry­der in March af­ter los­ing two long serv­ing mem­bers of staff to cancer.

The com­pany com­mit­ted to rais­ing £10,000 in 2016 through var­i­ous ac­tiv­i­ties, with em­ploy­ees tak­ing part in a num­ber of ac­tiv­i­ties.
