The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your News -

The Better Bretton community group has joined forces with a group of adults with learning disabilities, the Pyramid Pioneers, to breathe positivity into one of Peterborough’s most neglected public spaces. The groups will be hosting a strawberry tea at the Bretton Pyramid centre on Thursday, August 24 . All local residents are warmly invited to drop in for tea, cakes, table top sale and dancing by the Pyramid Pioneers. Money raised will go towards Macmillan Cancer support. The event will be held from 10am to midday. Julie Wighton, manager of the Pyramid Pioneers, said: “I live and work in this area and it’s an opportunity to bring local people together for a good reason. Hopefully people’s idea of the area will change because we are doing something different from what’s normally expected. We’d love to see as many local residents support the event as possible’. For more information and to book a table top pitch please call Gill on 07543 007 698.
