Mar­cus in top spot at Stret­ton Lakes

Webb’s AC fished Stret­ton Lakes at the week­end and al­though the venue wasn’t in great form there were some re­spectable lead­ing weights.

Top spot went to the con­sis­tent Mar­cus Webb with 51 lb 3oz of small carp taken on the feeder. John Brody was sec­ond on 41lb 13oz, fol­lowed by Martin Parker with 36lb 1oz.

FENLAND RODS

Fenland Rods fished Headfen Fish­ery on the Snake Lake and lead­ing the way with a net of carp taken late in the match was Dave Gar­ner.

He caught on lun­cheon meat close in to fin­ish with a very im­pres­sive 132lb.

Run­ner- up was Kevin Lee, who also caught on meat weigh­ing 100lb, then came Mac Campbell with 80 lb 12 oz.

CON­SER­VA­TIVE CLUB

Kings­land Fish­ery again pro- duced some big weights and in­deed some very big fish Con­ser­va­tive Angling Club mem­bers on Satur­day.

First with 175lb 1oz was John Par­nell, who had just 23 fish all caught up in the wa­ter on dog bis­cuit.

Bob Walker was just short of the top spot weigh­ing in 174lb 14oz, then came Pete Rudd with his first ever 100lb weight putting 110 lb 8 oz to the scales.
