A Peter­bor­ough home was evac­u­ated af­ter a late night ar­son at­tack.

Fire­fight­ers from Dogsthorpe, Stan­groun­dandthe Peter­bor­ough Vol­un­teers Fire Bri­gade were called to a fire in Pad­holmeRoad, East­field, at 1.20am last Thurs­day morn­ing.

The fire crews found a pile of rub­bish was alight in the front gar­den of the prop­erty and­wasspread­ing­tothe rest of the house.

The prop­erty was evac­u­ated be­fore the fire­fight­ers had ar­rived.

There are no re­ports of any in­juries.
