Home evacuated after arson attack

A Peterborough home was evacuated after a late night arson attack.

Firefighters from Dogsthorpe, Stangroundandthe Peterborough Volunteers Fire Brigade were called to a fire in PadholmeRoad, Eastfield, at 1.20am last Thursday morning.

The fire crews found a pile of rubbish was alight in the front garden of the property andwasspreadingtothe rest of the house.

The property was evacuated before the firefighters had arrived.

There are no reports of any injuries.
