Great fin­ish for Par­doe

Peter­bor­ough Cy­cling Club’s James Gel­sthorpe has been in a rich vein of form re­cently but rid­ing in the Na­tional 10 TT Cham­pi­onship at Rakein Hamp­shire he fin­ished 35th out of an ex­tremely fast field of 122 fin­ish­ers.

He clocked 22:52 while de­fend­ing cham­pion Richard Bus­sell’s win­ning time was 20:35.

The club’ s sec­ond claim mem­ber, Brett Har­wood, rid­ing for Terry Wright Cy­cles of Dee ping, fin­ished 13th.

The last Help­ston Sum­mer League race of 2016 was won in storm­ing style by Paul Par doe in a per­sonal best 21:56.

Run­ner- up Mal­colm Smith was just 20 sec­onds a drift and Dawid Sar­gent-Szczes­niak was 34 sec­onds be­hind Par­doe.

Claire Steels with an im­pres­sive 24:30 fin­ished fifth and first lady.
