Laxton wriggle off hook despite Bream

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Sport -

Sawtry’s Hayden Bream was the unluckiest loser of the weekend. He cracked 79 of his side’s 173 in a Division Five game against Laxton and then claimed 4-42, but the home still managed to sneak home by one wicket. AK 11 kept the Division Two promotion race alive by beating city rivals Bharat Sports by 46 runs in a 30-over game. AK now need to win at Barnack in their final match on Saturday to overhaul Bharat, who have finished their fixtures, and seal second spot behind champions Orton Park. A win for Barnack could see them into second. Mohammed Nadeem Zahid (35 & 4-25) was AK’s all-round star against Bharat.
