There is no more important issue for city

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your Views -

There is a great deal of news space and comment devoted to the disastrous SATs results that have seen Peterborough left rock bottom of the league table of education authoritys. Without repeating the arguments it is clear that right now there is no more important challenge facing the city. From our economic prosperity and chances of investment to the future of our younger generations this problem has to be solved. It is disgraceful that the city finds itself in this position after all the money that has been spent. The time for explanations and hand-wringing is over, now the city needs clear action, good leadership and visible progress at a rapid rate.
