MPs pay trib­ute to David Cameron

Peter­bor­ough MP Ste­wart Jack­son has paid trib­ute to former PrimeMin­is­ter David Cameron­after­hestepped down as an MP. MrJack­son, who­said­he­was not close to fel­low Con­ser­va­tive Mr Cameron, added that “hewill bere­mem­bered more kindly by his­tory” be­cause of his com­mit­ment to an EU ref­er­en­dum. NorthWestCam­bridgeshire MP Shailesh Vara added: “David Cameron man­aged to get theCon­ser­va­tives­back into pow­er­after13years and he led Bri­tain at a time when we faced huge eco­nomic un­cer­tainty. Un­der his lead­er­ship­we­m­an­aged­top­ull­back from the brink.”
