And another thing...

CITY WERE FAR TOO SLICK

The build-up to the Manchester derby in the Premier League was one of the most tedious I can remember. Luckily the game was a thriller. City were quite brilliant to watch and United were predictably ponderous and dull. In short, two teams cast in the mould of their managers Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho (above).

ILLOGICAL AND INCONSISTENT

I repeat you can have all the directives you want, but while our referees make cowardly, ill-judged, illogical and inconsistent decisions, they will all fail. The Premier League is blighted by poor officials. Even the best, Mark Clattenburg, was incredibly lenient towards non-stop fouling machine Wayne Rooney last weekend.
