Bad break causes an aban­don­ment

The Divi­sion Four match be­tween Netherton B and Hunt­ing­don Rovers was aban­doned in the sec­ond­half af­ter home player Chris Lyon sus­tained a bro­ken an­kle. Netherton led 3-2 at the time. There were 78 goals in 10 matches on the open­ing day of com­pe­ti­tion. Twelve ar­rived in the Divi­sion One match won 8-4 by Thorpe Wood Rangers at ICA Sports Columbo when Liam Oliver-Smith scored five times for the win­ners. Brew­ery Tap, 8-3 win­ners at Farcet, and PIS, who won 9-1 at March Ath­letic, also en­joyed them­selves. Jonathan Stur­geon scored four for PIS with Luke Wat­son hit­ting the tar­get twice.
