Pupils help injured grAndmother

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Special Report -

Two primary school pupils have been praised for looking after an elderly woman who hurt herself in a nasty fall. Year 6 pupils Oliva Cloutman and Anastasja Jurguyte from Dogsthorpe Academy were walking home from school when they found the woman who had fallen over. Her grandaughter is Sami Griffin, assistant principal at Newark Hill Academy. She wrote to Dogsthorpe Academy saying: “Our nan had a bad fall in the field off Welland Road on her way home from visit- ing a friend. “Some of your pupils found her, immediately dialled 111 to seek advice and informed the ambulance of the location. They also made sure we were contacted. “On top of this, they manned each entrance to the field in order to best direct the ambulance crew to her. We have just been to visit her in A&E and it’s likely her ankle is broken. She was overwhelmed at the help and kindness those children showed, and we are incredibly grateful to them.” Herne RoAd, Oundle PE8 4BS For Further Details Tel: 01832 272881 • erail: reception@princewilliarschool.co.uk or visit our website: www.princewilliarschool.co.uk or follow us on twitter: @pwsnews
