Yax­ley and Hamp­ton hit the county cup trail with a bang

There were mas­sive wins for two Pe­ter­bor­ough Ju­nior Al­liance League sides in county cup ac­tion on Sun­day. Both­cameinthe­firstroundof the Hunts Un­der 14 Cup with Yax­ley Blue smash­ing Park­side Ath­letic by a stag­ger­ing 27-0 mar­gin and Hamp­ton Blue cruis­ing to an 11-0 tri­umph against Park Farm Pu­mas Red.

Two play­ers - Mar­cus Goy­mour and Kyall Woods - man­aged five-goal hauls for Yax­ley with Joshua Hogg and Al­fie Webb claim­ing four apiece and Kyle Row­ell and Jamie Lane fir­ing hat-tricks.

Com­plet­ing the rout were Louis Whif­fin (2) and Fin­ley Kilby.

For Hamp­ton it was Rio Hen­son lead­ing the way on the score­sheet with five, Luke Scam­pion hit three and Harry McLaugh­lin, Joshua Gore and Reece Camp­bell chipped in with one each.

On the Un­der 14 league front there was a crack­ing 13-goal thriller in­volv­ing nether­ton Pheonix and Deep­ing Rangers Claret. Nether­ton trailed 5-1 at half-time but stormed back in the sec­ond half to win 7-6 with goals by Em­manuel Ochube (4) and Daniel Lax­ton (3). Scor­ers for Deep­ing were Joshua Raven (3), Jack Sharpe (2) and Oskar Storti.

Un­der 12 Di­vi­sion Four lead­ers Black­stones wal­loped Park­side Ath­letic 11-0 with Ma­lik Karama scor­ing four. Sun­day was KO Cup day for Pe­ter­bor­ough Youth League sides and as usual the first round matches pro­duced a stack of goals.

March Soc­cer School Un­der 15s led the way with as­corch­ing21-0winatRip­pin­gale and Folk­ing­ham. Adam Brady tucked away four of the goals with­Blake Cow­ley and Jor­dan Smith notch­ing tre­bles.

Next best were Gun­thor­peHar­ri­er­sNavy - 13-1 win­nersoverRiver­side - fol­lowed by Black­stones - 12-0 win­ners at Crow­land.

Re­mark­ably only four Gun­thorpe play­ers made it onto the score­sheet as Zac Find­ley smashed a mag­nif­i­cent seven and Ryan Bishop scored four. Subs Cal­lum Dal­l­i­day and Kacper Kozak got the other two. For Black­stones, Jamie Pumpr, Solomon Walker and Kai Wood blasted hat-tricks.

In the Un­der 18 com­pe­ti­tion, Scott Waum­s­ley hit five for Deep­ing Blue in their 9-1 win against Nether­ton Blue­jays, and Solomon Walker and Philip Joyce scored hat- tricks for Wis­bech Acorns in a 7-2 win over Bourne Blue.
