RASHFORD GOOD ROONEY BAD

I hope the next England manager watched Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Leicester City. It’s not rocket science to have predicted that Marcus Rashford’s (above) selection ahead of Wayne Rooney would enable United to play at a Premier League tempo. Removing a player slow of thought and deed will always have that effect.

LOSER LUIZ IS A POOR SIGNING

I did think Chelsea had pulled off a managerial coup by signing up Italian national team boss Antonio Conte. But then he signed David Luiz to partner Gary Cahill in the centre of his defence. Cahill was carried by John Terry for years and the last thing he needs now is a flaky colleague alongside him.
