Tues­day, Jan­uary 3, 11am: Two men are struck by a car on Broad­way at Yax­ley. The road is shut for emer­gency ser­vices. 4.15pm: Cam­bridgeshire Po­lice con­firm two men have died in the col­li­sion. Later, po­lice say a man has been ar­rested in Chelms­ford, Es­sex. Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 4: The ar­rested man is brought from Es­sex to Peter­bor­ough for ques­tion­ing. He ar­rives at Thorpe Wood late in the even­ing. Fri­day, Jan­uary 6: The two men are for­mally iden­ti­fied by po­lice as Thomas Fletcher and Thomas Northam. Richard Frost is charged by po­lice on two counts of caus­ing death by dan­ger­ous driv­ing, two counts of dan­ger­ous driv­ing, one count of caus­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm (ABH) and one count of com­mon as­sault. He ap­pears at Peter­bor­ough Mag­is­trates Court that af­ter­noon. He is re­manded into cus­tody to ap­pear at Crown Court on Fe­bru­ary 3.
