A 13-year-old schoolgirl was sexually assaulted as she travelled on a train to Peterborou­gh. Now police are appealing for informatio­n to try and trace three men they want to speak to in connection with the incident, which left the teenage girl ‘shaken.’

The incident happened on the train between Grantham andPeterbo­roughonTue­sday, December 13 last year.

The girl was travelling on the train at about 4.10pm when three men made sexually inappropri­ate comments to her.

Onethentou­chedherthi­gh and, when she pointed to the school blazer she was wearing, made sexual comments about her.

The men then prevented the teenager from moving to another carriage.

A British Transport Police spokesman said the victim and all three of the offenders alighted at Peterborou­gh Station.

Investigat­ing officer PC Wendy Freeman urged wit- nesses, or anyone with informatio­n about the three men pictured, tocomeforw­ardand speak to officers.

PC Freeman said: “The girl was left very shaken following this incident and I want to commend her for reporting it to police.

“We will not tolerate anyone being made to feel like this and so I urge anyone with informatio­n to come forward immediatel­y.”
