Any­one for tea in the vil­lage hall?

Sun­day (Jan­uary 15th) sees the start of the monthly Vil­lage Hall Teas at King’s Cliffe Vil­lage Hall. As al­ways, it will be open from 2pm and serv­ing un­til last or­ders at 4.30pm. A va­ri­ety of home­made cakes and scones, and but­tery toasted tea bread - al­ways a win­ter favourite - are served with pots of tea or cof­fee or fruit squashes. The Book Corner will be open and home­made jams and mar­malades will be on sale. Every­one is wel­come - vil­lagers, friends, fam­ily and vis­i­tors, peo­ple out for a walk, a cy­cle ride or tour­ing by car. Ac­cess to the Vil­lage Hall on foot is via Ea­gle Lane, be­side the shop in West Street, or by car via Or­chard Lane (at the western end of West Street) and then Church Walk where there is park­ing be­side Malt­ings Green. All the pro­ceeds from these teas go to­wards the up­keep of the Vil­lage Hall and last year helped to raise nearly £2,500.
