Anyone for tea in the village hall?
Sunday (January 15th) sees the start of the monthly Village Hall Teas at King’s Cliffe Village Hall. As always, it will be open from 2pm and serving until last orders at 4.30pm. A variety of homemade cakes and scones, and buttery toasted tea bread - always a winter favourite - are served with pots of tea or coffee or fruit squashes. The Book Corner will be open and homemade jams and marmalades will be on sale. Everyone is welcome - villagers, friends, family and visitors, people out for a walk, a cycle ride or touring by car. Access to the Village Hall on foot is via Eagle Lane, beside the shop in West Street, or by car via Orchard Lane (at the western end of West Street) and then Church Walk where there is parking beside Maltings Green. All the proceeds from these teas go towards the upkeep of the Village Hall and last year helped to raise nearly £2,500.
