Emergency services battled to save man
A man died at a Peterborough home despite the best efforts of emergency services. Police were called to an address at Holdich Street near Peterborough city centre at about 11am on Thursday after concerns over a man were reported. A police spokesman said medical back-up was requested at about 1.30pm, with ambulances from the East of England Ambulance Service, and the East Anglian Air Ambulance all attending. However, a Cambridgeshire police spokesman said the man sadly died at the address. An ambulance spokesman said the man was not taken to hospital. The police spokesman confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.
