Emer­gency ser­vices bat­tled to save man

A man died at a Peter­bor­ough home de­spite the best ef­forts of emer­gency ser­vices. Po­lice were called to an ad­dress at Holdich Street near Peter­bor­ough city cen­tre at about 11am on Thurs­day after con­cerns over a man were re­ported. A po­lice spokesman said med­i­cal back-up was re­quested at about 1.30pm, with am­bu­lances from the East of Eng­land Am­bu­lance Ser­vice, and the East Anglian Air Am­bu­lance all at­tend­ing. How­ever, a Cam­bridgeshire po­lice spokesman said the man sadly died at the ad­dress. An am­bu­lance spokesman said the man was not taken to hospi­tal. The po­lice spokesman con­firmed there were no sus­pi­cious cir­cum­stances.
