RAOB gives £3,000 to lo­cal char­i­ties

Mem­bers of the East­gate Lodge of the Royal Ante­dilu­vian Or­der of Buf­faloes, which meets each Wed­nes­day at the Park­way PSL Club, raised money for char­ity through­out 2016.

As a re­sult they pre­sented £1,000 each to Peter­bor­ough Me de ha ms te de Scouts, Peter­bor­ough & District Sa­mar­i­tans and Peter­bor­ough Talk­ing News­pa­per for the Blind.

Barry Bur­rell, from the Talk­ing-News­pa­per, summed up the feel­ings of all three char­i­ties, say­ing: “This do­na­tion for lo­cal causes is very much ap­pre­ci­ated and we thank the Buf­faloes for their sup­port .”

The pho­to­graph shows a cheque for £1,000 be­ing pre­sented to Pete Tomblin, treasurer of Talk­ing News­pa­per, by Pete Pierce of the East­gate Lodge.
