Series of crashes leave drivers hurt and roads closed
A series of crashes left a number of roads closed in and around Peterborough.
The crashes affected the Fletton Parkway, Paston Parkway and the A47 at Thorney.
While only one person suffered serious injuries, there was disruption across the road network.
Thefirstcrashhappened on the Fletton parkway between Orton Goldhay and the A1 junction at 12.20am.
A woman in her 20s suffered serious leg injuries, and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital by the Magpas rapid response vehicle. A man, in his 50s, suffered minor injuries. The road was closed until 2am as a result of the crash.
The next incident involved four vehicles, and happened on the Paston Parkway between Wer- ri ngton and Glinton at 1 0.30am. The road was closed between the McDonalds roundabout and the Werrington centre. An ambulancespokesmansaidtwo people had suffered minor injuries in the crash.
And two people were injured in a crash on the A47, which also involved four vehicles. The crash happened at 11am between Thorney and Guyhirn.
