Summer activities continue at Ferry Meadows this week with Campfire Cooking for Kids on Saturday. Have a go at cooking and eating some simple campfire recipes - 10.30 – 13.30 and 12.00 – 15.00. Meet at the Lakeside Car Park and the cost is £3 per child. The following day is Scavenging
Sticks and Leaf Pounding. Take a woodland walk, find a special scavenging stick and decorate it with nature’s delights, while learning about trees and their produce. Finishing off with some leaf pounding, which is great for large motor skills and learning about why leaves are green. Times: 10.30 – 13.30 and 12.00 – 15.00 and suitable for five year olds. On Monday test your origami skills to make a selection of paper planes, then enter your best into the flying competitions. Whose will fly for the longest, fly furthest or highest?
